Module Diz v1.00 by Traumantic Stress of STD

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is yet another release from me. Geeze. There seems to be enough
of them eh? Well this program I needed for myself, so I did it. It
worked enough to suit my desires, so I decided I would spruce it up
a little, add a little colour and let others use it. Basically this
program (small program [6k!]) will be run from a directory that
contains unzipped, unpackaged music modules. The modules that this
program version supports are:
MOD - Amiga ProTracker Modules (Any channel size)
STM - IBM ScreamTracker Modules
S3M - IBM StreamTracker 3 Modules (Future Crew Format)
669 - IBM Composer669 Modules (Renaissance Format)
MTM - IBM MultiTracker Modules (32 Track Renaissance Format)
For now, these were the only module types I had to rip appart, so thats
all folks. If you have another module that you would like me to include,
by all means.. upload it to me so I can add it in. Right now the program
reads the header for the module, obtaining the REAL name left by the
author. This is useful for those dorks that like to rename the modules
just to piss me off. This information is then used to generate a
file_id.diz description file. The description file contains the file type,
REAL module name, the DOS filename and the DOS size before compression.
Also, for some formats (like 669), there are 2 additional lines for comments
where the author of the music has written a 2x36 character comment. The
outputted file_id.diz looks like this:
┌───────────────────────────────────────────
| [669] *Purple-images* Mosaic Aka Ray Lee
· DOS Filename: [PURPLE.669]
DOS Filesize: [240556 bytes]
∙ Comment: By: Mosaic of RENAISSANCE #1992#
: R E N A I S S A N C E
└───────────────────────────────────────────
Yeah, I know. Your so glad I didn't put my name all over it! I thought about
it. The regular diz's will work on Renegade's 5 line limit, but you might
be a little pissed about the 669 format.. SOOOORRY.. After it makes the
diz file, then it zipps up the file using the original 8 character filename
and also includes the diz description file. Make sure you have PKZIP in your
path. The original module is erased leaving just the packaged one. Then
all you gotta do is upload it to your favorite boards or your own and you
won't have to enter a stupid description. Also don't look in your collection
to find that the module called "WickeD TeChKnO" is really some head banger
song. Ack!
If you wanna reach me and tell me off or tell me how cool a programmer I am,
my board SHOULD be up. :) Here is my reachabilities:
